Learn Finnish online
Finnish is the main language of Finland, where Swedish is also official. It belongs to the Uralic family, not the Indo-European one, so it is quite different from Portuguese, English or German.
For Portuguese speakers
It is an agglutinative language: endings attach to words and express many of the relations that, in Portuguese, are handled by prepositions. It has many grammatical cases, but no gender and no articles, and the pronunciation is very regular, with each letter sounding as it is written.
- Grammatical cases with examples
- No gender and no articles
- Regular pronunciation and long and short vowels
